Mary E. Bean (Teckla Mary Elizabeth Rejmer), 91, of Berkshire, died peacefully in her sleep at home, on Thursday, December 6, 2012. Mary is survived by her daughters: Martha (Thomas) Dye and Marie Hartenstein; her sons: William A. (Lori) Bean and Stanley J.(Marcia) Bean; her 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 7 great- great grandchildren; her sisters: Agnes Hartenstein, Dorothy Apolovich, nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended family.Mary was born on March 16, 1921, in Harrisburg, PA a daughter of the late Enoch and Martha (Frakowski) Rejmer. She was predeceased by her husband, William, her son, Frank, her brothers, William, Stanley and Frank Rejmer. She was a long-time, devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Newark Valley and was a very integral part of the family farmstead. Her family was her number one priority and she was a caregiver to many. She established a family tradition of an all family dinner every Sunday after Massno matter what! She always had homemade treats and shared them whenever you visited. Her faith in God included her faith in his timing.Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass for Mary at St. John the Evangelist Church, Newark Valley at 11AM on Friday, Dec. 14th. Rev. William A. Moorby, pastor will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Owego. Friends and family are also invited for dinner at St. Johns Church following the burial. Those wishing to remember Mary with a donation are asked to kindly consider the Speedsville or Berkshire Fire Dept. or St. John Evangelist Church, Newark Valley.The Cooley Family of MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting with arrangements and memories and condolences may be written in her guest book at macphersonfh.com
