Mary A. AndrewsSan Clemente, CA - Mary A. Andrews, born July 13, 1920, in Czechoslovakia, departed her life's journey on January 26, 2018 in a private Care Home in San Clemente, California, with her daughter Denise Delatorre and her loving care givers by her side.Mary is now reunited in heaven with her late husband, Benjamin Andrews of Newark Valley, NY, two brothers; Fred and John Duffek and her parents; Elizabeth and Frank Duffek.She is survived by her four children; Denise Delatorre of Laguna Beach, CA; Benjamin Andrews, of Boulder City, NV; Diane Andrews of Richmond, VA; and Maryann Mulvenna of Davidson, NC.Also surviving Mary are six loving grandchildren; Ricki Delatorre, Darren Mulvenna, Marcianna Cooley, Jannette Matula, Farelle Felton, and LaLena Menon. In addition are six great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and relatives, too numerous to list but not forgotten.Surviving sisters and brothers are; Margaret Smith, Jennie Juiditus, Millie Breckner, Frances Neschleba, Betty Shuta, Steven and Frank Duffek.Mary came to the US, from what was then called Czechoslovakia, when she was 6 months old with her parents Elizabeth Mary Duffek and Frank Petter Duffek. After becoming a US citizen, Mary worked at IBM Owego, NY for 25 years and retired in 1987.Mary enjoyed working on her home and garden, paying particular attention to her rose garden. Her earnest enjoyment of work was rewarded with a long and beautiful life. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.A memorial service will be announced at a later date in New York.
