Those we hold most dear never truly leave usThey live on in the kindness they showedthe comfort they shared and the love they brought into our lives.Marscha L. Allen, 53, passed away very suddenly Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father Stanley R. Dunckley, Sr. and brother Bob Dunckley. She will be forever missed by her husband and best friend, Gary D. Chub Allen, Jr., her cherished children, Dan and Candida Allen; her mother, Helen Cobler, her siblings: Patsi (Karl) Spoonhower, Mary Ellen Spoonhower, Susan (George) Decker, Nancy Stephens (Dave), Michael Dunckley, Chubs parents: Betty and Gary Allen, Sr., and sister, Janet (Pat) Jordan as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Aunt Mar, as she was lovingly referred to by many children and adults alike, had a heart as big as all outdoors and generously opened her home and heart to any child and anyone in need. She acquired her late Dads ability to love, train and care for horses and her strong work ethic kept her busy every minute of the day. When she wasnt busy working, she could be found cheering on her kids at school sporting events, stock car races or gently but firmly guiding and encouraging them through trying times. Aunt Mars chocolate chip cookie jar was never empty and fresh from the oven deliveries were a common occurance! Marschas family will receive friends and celebrate her life at a gathering at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 5-8 pm. For those wishing, kindly consider directing memorials to the Newark Valley High School Booster Club or the Nothern Tioga Youth League in memory of Marscha L. Allen.Memories and condolences may also be written in Marschas guest book at macphersonfh.com
