Marjorie L. Loomis, 77, of Newark Valley, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband Owen Loomis Sr.; sons Robert Miller, John Miller, Owen Loomis Jr.; daughters Tammy Miller (Larry French), Michelle Swingle, Ellen (Dean) Prince; sisters Diane (Dale) Manwaring, Arlene Kissell; 18 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents John and Hazel May, brother James May, sister Ruth Sharp, brother-in-law Bernard Kissell, and in laws Rachele and Ralph Loomis.Marjorie was a devoted wife and a wonderful mother. She was a kind hearted woman with many friends. Marjorie loved quilting, blanket making and sewing. She was very creative and enjoyed a variety of crafts and she was a member of TOPS. One of her favorite things was a bowl of ice cream, especially vanilla with strawberries. Marjorie was a wonderful cook, and lovingly prepared meals for friends and family. Everyone who knew Marjorie, appreciated her happy, cheerful personality, but also knew when to steer clear of her temper, and when to duck at a flying pot or pan So Lord accept this loving woman with open arms.Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
