Marilyn V Sanders

Marilyn V. Sanders, 76, of Newark Valley and formerly of Maine, NY, passed peacefully Friday morning, July 27, 2012 at Riverview Manor, Owego, following a period of declining health.Marilyn is survived by her sister and best friend, Ann Czekala and dear brother Raymond Payne and his wife Judy who was her devoted caregiver. Many, many cherished nieces and nephews will also miss their wonderful aunt. Marilyn was born in Endicott on March 20, 1936, the daughter of Ellis W. and Mildred B. (Durfee) Payne. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sanders, sister, Joyce Babcock, brother, Alan Bud Payne, niece April Czekala and brother-in-law Edward Czekala.Marilyn was a long time and retired employee of Motorola in Scottsdale, AZ. Following her retirement she was delighted to return home. She loved being with her family and friends, watching the many birds that came to her backyard feeders and also watching her flowers blossom and grow. She was an excellent cook and baker, loved country music and was an avid reader. Her beautiful smile, her presence and loving personality will be greatly missed and will always be celebrated. A special celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
