Marie L. Menard

Marie L. Menard, 80, of Johnson City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 7, 2021 and was reunited with her husband Henry. Marie is survived by her children Denise (Stefan) Moyer, Terri (Scott) Anderson, and John Menard; grandchildren Cameron, Drew, Kristi, Savannah, Brooke, Mindy, Austin, and Wesley; brothers Lewis and Cecil (Diane) Bailey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers Clarence 'Pete' and Carl Bailey.Marie worked as a nurse at Wilson Hospital for over 30 years. She took pride in her work and truly enjoyed caring for her patients. Marie was a member of Nanticoke Baptist Church, and was a special part of her church family. In her free time, Marie could be found tending to her flower gardens, especially her violets, and watching the birds. She also loved reading, sewing and quilting, and had blessed many friends and family with blankets and other handmade gifts over the years. A favorite pastime of Marie's was camping- she and Henry would always look forward to taking their camper for their weekend stays in Ithaca. She enjoyed traveling in general, and for Marie, the best part of any trip was the stops along the way. More than anything else, Marie loved people. She especially cherished time spent with her family- her grandchildren were one of her greatest joys. Marie had a sweet, generous spirit, and the perfect amount of spunk. The twinkle in her eye and her kind heart will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and canine companion Rusty.A celebration of Marie's life will be held on Friday, April 16th at 11:30 am at Nanticoke Baptist Church in Lisle, NY.
