Marie E. Richardson

Marie Richardson, 65, formerly of Johnson City, left her earthly home on Thursday Feb. 6, 2014, and was joyfully united with her Lord and Savior. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, David G. Richardson; her sons: Bryan and Daniel Richardson; her grandchildren Cody, Adam and Autumn; sisters: Irene (JonT.) Miller, Dolly Dotman and Patricia (David) Deamond. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins including her special cousin Bernice.Born in Johnson City on Jan. 19, 1949, Marie was the daughter of Peter and Eloise Maliwacki. She graduated from Johnson City High School with the January Class of 1967. Marie was a woman of deep faith and a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church, Newark Valley. She was employed for many years in retail sales at several locations including The BonTon, McCrorys and Dollar Depot. She enjoyed gardening, was never without a feline companion, collected Nut Crackers and loved to travel and camp.her favorite place being Lancaster County.Maries family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 pm at the First United Methodist Church, Newark Valley.A Funeral Service and Celebration of Her Life will follow there at 4 PM with her Pastor, Rev. Nancy J. Adams, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Hope Cemetery. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting the family.
