Margaret Cross

Margaret CrossOf OwegoMargaret Cross, 85, formerly of Candor went peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Monday, February 25, 2008. Born on August 14, 1922 in Union Center, NY, she was the daughter of the late Orval and Minnie (Mix) Parker. Margaret is survived by her loving children; Ronald (Yvonne) Cross, Kenneth Cross, Connie Cross, all of Candor, Patricia (Daniel) Cawley, Newark Valley; her sister; Mildred Barnum, Newark Valley; 11 grandchildren , 13 great grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Murl in December 1985.Margaret was a member of T.O.P.S. where she served as president, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, was a leader of Pioneer Girls for Berean Baptist Church in Endwell. Margaret was an avid gardener and hunter, she loved to bake wedding cakes.Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Her family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association 6390 Fly Rd. 2nd floor East Syracuse, NY 13057 or to a charity of ones choice in loving memory of Margaret Cross.
