Hildebrant, 101, lovingly known as Auntie Mae went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2012Aunt Mae is survived by her son Sherman Hildebrant of Texas; son-in-law: George Sampson of Georgia; many nieces and nephews among them; her niece and caregiver Arlene Tyner of Maine; nephews: William Conrad of Binghamton; Robert Conrad of Johnson City; thirteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband D. Friend Hildebrant in 1981; daughter Marie Sampson; son David Hildebrant; and sister Janet Conrad.Maevis was born on November 29, 1910 in Middletown Center, Pa a daughter of the late Benton and Flora (Boardman) Compton. She will be remembered for her kind heart and giving ways. Auntie Mae enjoyed baking and being surrounded by her family.Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Friday, January 20th from 1 to 3 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will follow at 3 pm with Pastor William Fowler, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Warden Cemetery, Dallas, Pa.
