Lucille Barden, 80, of Endicott, passed quietly from this life on March 31, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Lucy is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard & Sue Barden, Debbie and Dave Shear, Pat and Bob McGregor, her brother Robert Bruce, her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Shear, Sarah McGregor, Christina Panella, Laurie McWilliams and Matthew Barden as well as her 9 adored great grandchildren, her former husband Lloyd Barden, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.Born on July 22, 1929 in Endicott, Lucy was the daughter of the late William W. and Chloe M. (Reynolds) Bruce and grandmother of the late Michael Shear.She was a member of the Church of the Holy Family in Endicott. She was blessed with many fine qualities including an optimistic nature, great sense of humor and cooking skills second to none. She particularly enjoyed hosting parties in her home throughout the year but also found time to travel, crochet, enjoy the beach, play BUNKO and attend many of her grandchildren's sporting events to cheer them on.Her family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St. Newark Valley on Friday from 1-2 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow there at 2 pm with Rev. Eddie W. Maslin officiating.
