Lois Yurko, 79, went to be with her Lord on Jan. 8, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Winnie (Edwards) Barrett and her brother Walter H Barrett. She is survived by her sons: Michael 'Tim' (Chris) Yurko, Mark (Shannon) Yurko, Scott Yurko and William Yurko; her brothers Johnnie, Charles (Dannette) and Marshall (Vicky) Barrett; sister, Trudy (Ward) Cox, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, her best friend of 65 years, 'Aunt' Phyllis Nerove and her beloved dog, Max. Lois was a member of Maine Federated Church and a retired employee of G. E., Johnson City. Her family will receive friends at the Maine Federated Church on Saturday from noon until the time of her service at 1 PM. Spring burial will be in Port Crane Cemetery. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting with arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may kindly be directed to her Maine Federated Church or SPEAK Animal Hospital in loving memory of Lois Yurko.
