Linda Jean Darrow

July 26, 1952 — August 18, 2012

Linda Jean (Padbury) Darrow, 60,of Maine, NY, was called home to be with her Savior early Saturday morning, August 18, 2012. She is now reunited with her dad Jean V. Padbury and her stepson Shaun Darrow, both of whom predeceased her. Linda is survived by her loving twin daughters, Kaitlin and Karina Darrow, her cherished granddaughter, Halie Darrow, her devoted mother, Irene M. Padbury, loving sisters, Marjorie (Matthew) Vivona, Bonnie (Steven) Iannone, and her loving brother and special confidant, Lester J. (Rebecca) Padbury. Also surviving are her mother and father-in-law, Geraldine and Alonzo Darrow, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.Linda was a devoted member of the Maine Federated Church. She was a 1971 graduate of Maine-Endwell High School and attended BOCES-Cosmotology. Following graduation she established her business, Lindas Hair Salon in the town of Maine. Currently she was employed by The Handicapped Childrens Association. She had a passion for caring for others and helped many families with special need children. Her most treasured times were those spent with her family and her beloved canine Rascal. A Funeral Service and Celebration of Lindas Life will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Aug. 23rd, at the Maine Federated Church. Rev. Steven Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maine Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley.
