Lilly J Wright

Lilly J. Wright, 83, of Owego, was called home to the Lord on December 18, 2018. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzan and Keith Seidel, her son and daughter-in-law, David and Barbara Wright, her grandchildren, Jamie, Jason, Kyle, Cassidy, Kellie, her 3 great-grandchildren, and her close friend Mary Bennett. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Merle. Born in South Korea, Lily met, fell in love with and married Merle while he was stationed there in the US Army in 1960. She was a fierce, brave and sassy woman who sure knew how to put a smile on your face! In her younger days, dancing out on the town was sheer joy for her. She also loved her poodles, cowboy movies, traveling, gardening and her membership in the Owego VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Lilly will be dearly missed. Her family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 11:30. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
