Leslie H. Meade

Leslie H. Meade, 79, of Owego, passed away on July 25, 2010 at Riverview Manor in Owego where he has resided for the past year. Born on Sept. 27, 1930 in Owego, Leslie was the son of the late Howard J. and Beatrice (Howe) Meade. Leslie attended Newark Valley Schools, served in the US Army from 1954-1956 and assisted his parents in the operation of the family dairy farm for many years. He was a long time member of the Flemingville United Methodist Church, The Flemingville Grange, Goodrich Settlement Grange and Tioga County Pamona Grange.Leslie is survived by many cousins including his caregivers Lois and Will Meade. Also surviving are his special friends, Shirley and Ralph Held, Carole Dunham, Joann Morse, Richard and Harriet Malowitz. A Funeral Service and celebration of Leslie's Life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday at the Flemingville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Flemingville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, at the Flemingville United Methodist Church, from 10 am until the time of the service.
