Lawrence D. Goodrich, Jr.Formerly of Newark ValleyLarry Goodrich, Jr., 30 of Lexington, KY, passed away suddenly on October 30, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. Larry was the beautiful son of Rose (Creeley) and Lenny Terenzi, and Lawrence D. Sr., and Pamela Goodrich and brother of Justin Terenzi and Lenny (Karen) Terenzi. He will also be greatly missed by his grandparents Gertrude Creeley, Leonard and Alice Terenzi, many aunts, uncles, cousins, his special niece, Annabella Terenzi and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Arnold Creeley, his aunt, Cathy (Creeley) Warner and grandparents, Eleanor and Dr. Michael Markarian.Larry was born on Jan 3, 1978 in Johnson City. He was a graduate of Newark Valley High School, Class of 96 where he participated in wrestling (Varsity starter all four years), was an excellent student and a great influence to his peers. Following high school he moved to Lexington in order to further his education at the University of Kentucky but he always looked forward to coming home and being with his family and friends. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology, a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Masters Degree in Biomechanics and was employed as an engineer with Aerotek in Lexington.A beautiful person both inside and out, Larry had a true zest for living and was passionate about everything and anything he did in his life. His wonderful, mile-wide smile, great sense of humor and exuberant personality, all traits very natural to Larry, led to many close and endearing friendships. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him but he will live on in their hearts and memories forever. Larry will also live on in the lives of those people he saved through the organs he donated. That is just so Larry! A Celebration of Larrys life will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, Nov. 8th at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. Rev. James T. Willard will officiate. A period of visitation and sharing of memories will precede the service from 12 noon until 3 pm. Please hug your kids, family and friends or pay it forward with a kind act or deed as a tribute to Larry and in his memory.
