Our world was made all the brighter when we were blessed with our precious Lakin Marie Spoonhower on May 20, 2015. She touched the lives of so many in her 7 years. Our beloved, shining, happy girl, the light of our lives and the star of our hearts leaves us smiling through tears now. On Tuesday, March 7, 2023 our hearts were broken when our sweet angel Lakey left us and is now dancing in the sky. Theres no doubt, she is snuggling all of the warm and fuzzy animals and was greeted with open arms by her maternal grandpa David Gehen. To know Lakin was to know love, she had the purest soul and kindest heart. Lakey was in the First grade at Nathan T. Hall Elementary School and was loved by so many there. She carried a magnetic personality, and her smile will be forever with us. Lakey cherished the time she spent with her family, she loved to play and tease her brothers Chance and Dillon. Lakin was always playing with her doggies Wilbur, Scarlett and Quinn. She enjoyed reading, watching funny animal videos and spending time outdoors with all of Gods creatures, large and small, scaley, slimy and feathered. Lakey loved to play with her horses. She would line them up, name them and gather all of the mommas and foals together. When Lakin was running, she was galloping and whinnying just like her favorite animal. She loved all of her stuffed animals, dinosaurs, unicorns and butterflies. If our love could have saved you, you would have lived forever ~ To be in Lakins presents was truly a blessing as she was so pure, sweet and full of excitement. Lakin left her tiny handprint on so many hearts ~ she will be forever loved and dearly missed by her parents Chance and Lauren; her brothers Chance and Dillon; maternal grandmother Trish Gehen; paternal grandparents Karl and Patsi Spoonhower; as well as so many special aunts, uncles, cousins. Her special friends Maddie, Zeb, Grace and the Howland Family as well as her special school family Nicole and Holly who loved her as their own.
