Kevin E Spencer

Kevin E Spencer, 68, of Owego, passed away on October 9, 2022 following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sons Andrew Kipp, Christopher Kipp (Dixie Parker), Aaron Kipp, and daughter Kaitlyn Kipp; his brothers: Dion (Meg) Spencer, Dennis Spencer, Gary Spencer, and sister Donna (Larry) Olson; grandsons: Oliver James Nixon and Christian Michael Kipp. Kevin is predeceased by his parents Leo and Edna Spencer, his brother David Spencer and nephew Scott Spencer. Kevin is an alumnus of Newark Valley High School, class of 1972. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served for five years. With the training he received, he became a building and maintenance mechanic and a skilled craftworker. He was also trained in wiring and soldering. Soon he was able to repair almost any item and received the honorary title of 'Mr. Fix-It'. He was a former employee of the Binghamton Press, SCI Technology, Samina, Abide in the Vine Church and Ingersoll Rand. Kevin also enjoyed woodworking, nature and animals, especially his cats. He was independent and could be a rather 'stubborn' individual at times...But he was also a very lovable individual and a jokester with a very quick wit. He had many sayings.... among some of his favorites were... "It wasn't me"... "I wasn't even there" and "I didn't do it." He will be greatly missed. At Kevin's request there will be no services at this time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
