Kenneth R. Shoultes, Jr.

Kenneth Raymond Shoultes, JR. 66, of Kannapolis, NC, formerly of Vestal and Johnson City, NY, passed away suddenly on Aug. 21, 2017 in Charlotte, NC due to medical issues. Born in Binghamton, he was a son of the late Kenneth R. and Clara V. (Macuch) Shoultes and brother of the late Janice Shoultes, Sandi Parker and June LaFayette. He is survived by his children and grandchildren: Erica (Mike) Garris, Hayley and Michael; Kyle (Renee) Shoultes, Ian and Persephone; Chad (Lindsey) Shoultes, Grey; Jordan (Felicia) Shoultes, Logan, Troy, Mason; Taylor Shoultes; his fianc, Angel Mclean, Mkenna and Kaiser Shoultes. Also surviving are his sisters: Beverly Standish, Patricia Shoultes, several nieces, nephews and cousins.In his youth Ken was a star baseball player in Vestal. His love of sports continued throughout his life not only for little league but for all sports including NASCAR. While living in Johnson City, Ken was the owner of KRS Towing and Recovery with Michele. In N.C. he was an employee of G4S Secure Solutions. His kindness and encouraging ways mingled with his strong leadership skills, endeared him to many and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at the East Newark Cemetery on Dodson Rd. (Off Rt 38B), Newark Valley.
