Kenneth M Alexander

Kenneth M Alexander, 81, a life-long resident of Newark Valley, passed away on Nov. 9, 2021 following a period of declining health. Born on Sept. 9, 1940, he was one of seven boys born to Herbert and Ethyle (June) Alexander. Ken is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Verna (Edson) Alexander, his sons: Kevin, Steve (Dawn), Michael (Jill Stevens) and Kenneth (Heather) Alexander; his brother Victor Alexander, grandchildren: Colleen, Christine, Theresa, Kirt, Houston, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Steven and Cassie; several great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law: Charlotte Alexander. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Herbert Jr., Alton, Delbert, Gilbert, and David Alexander. Ken was a machinist for the former Picmount Co. in Endicott for many years. In addition, he was a life-long beef and dairy farmer, a devoted husband and an admired father. A man of many talents with a well- regarded work ethic, Ken did his own repairs on the farm from repairing equipment to plumbing and electrical work. He did this all with almost a constant smile on his face. A private family service and burial will be held at Vestal Hills Memorial Park under the care and guidance of MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
