To watch Kathie's service click here Kathie L. Johnson, 69, of Nichols, NY and formerly of Berkshire, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Kathie is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 29 years, Keith Johnson, her mother, Dorothy Hilliar, her children Scott (Karla) Woodmansee, Lynn Playle, Breck (Holli) Johnson and Kim Johnson. Also surviving are her much loved brothers: Mike, Chris and Greg Hilliar; her cherished grandchildren: Danielle, Brock, Bishop, Gauge, Jordan, Dakota, Sierra; great grandchildren: Kameren and Michael, many nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dog, Coco. Kathie was predeceased by her father, Donald Hilliar in 2019, her mother-in-law Neva Sutley. Kathie attended schools in Newark Valley and graduated with honors from Tompkins Cortland Community College receiving an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems. Her on-going thirst for computer knowledge has never ceased. She was an accomplished artesian with her crochet needle, enjoyed crafting, painting with her mother and capturing many different memories with her camera. She and Keith enjoyed traveling the country as full-time RVers and had many favorite spots in Colorado, Arizona and Florida. But returning home to New York and family was always a joy to her as anyone could see by her beautiful smile and exuberant expression! Life will never be the same without you Kathie. We miss you so much! Kathies Family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home in Newark Valley on Monday, Oct. 10 from 2-3:45. A memorial service will follow there at 4 PM.
