June B. Bodie, 80, of Newark Valley, passed peacefully on May 4, 2012 and was united with her Lord and her beloved husband Lee Bodie. June is survived by: her son and his wife Jerry and Jackie Dunphy and their son Alex; her grandson Jason Dunphy and wife, Heather, her sister, Phyllis Watson, her step-daughters and their husbands; Bonnie and David Harvey, Beverly and Raymond Cosimano, her five step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren: Karel (Harvey), Drew, Bradley and Nathan James, Todd, Denise and Jiandra Harvey, Beth (Harvey), Guy and Matthew Margallo, Rachel Cosimano and Sarah Cosimano. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends also survive.Born in Sayre, PA on June 17, 1931, June was a daughter of James and Delia (Avery) Ketchum. In addition to her parents and her husband Lee, she was predeceased by her step father, Steve Cook, her brother James Ketchum and her son, Robert Dumphy. June attended The First United Methodist Church, Newark Valley and had worked for several years at IBM, Glendale. She was a wonderful, caring and loving wife and mother who was also dedicated to service in her communities as well as to those in need. When her boys were young, she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and as President of the PTA at Talcott St. School in Owego. Over the years, she has been very active in Eastern Star, (ONYX Chap. 196.) holding various offices. She was also a talented tap dancer and performed in various shows throughout the county in the early 1950's. Junes family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 2-3 PM at the First United Methodist Church, Main St. (Rte 38), Newark Valley. Eastern Star will conduct services at 3 PM followed by a memorial service and celebration of her life with Rev.
