Judith L. Mayer

January 14, 1952 — June 14, 2025

of Berkshire, New York

Judith L. Mayer, affectionately known as Judy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully at her home on June 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 14, 1952, in Endicott, NY, Judy was a beacon of light to all who knew her, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Judy was a proud graduate of Newark Valley High School, class of 1970. Her dedication to her work was evident in her long-standing career as a Quality Inspector for Therm Corp, where she devoted over 35 years of service. Prior to this, she had worked at Ithaca Gun and NCR, showcasing her adaptability and commitment in various roles.

In her personal life, Judy was known for her love of nature, often finding solace in feeding and watching the birds at her home. She was an artist at heart, enjoying painting and engaging in the intricate craft of Diamond Dots. As an avid coin collector, Judy had an eye for detail and a passion for preserving history.

Judy's home was a haven of warmth and acceptance, where she had a magical way of making visitors feel loved and welcomed. Her time spent with her daughters and grandchildren was cherished, and she was revered for her sassy yet patient demeanor. Judy was a living embodiment of kindness and generosity, always putting others before herself.

She is survived by her daughters, Holly (Jeremie) Lavrack and Erica (John) Leonard, and her beloved grandchildren, Sienna Heider, Wyatt Mayer, and Tony Park. Her legacy continues through her great-granddaughter, Aubrie Heider. Judy also leaves behind her siblings, Charles (Michelle) Creeley and Rose (Lenny) Terrenzi, as well as her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnie Creeley, Debbie Creeley, and Ron Warner. Her life was further enriched by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Gertrude (Vargason) Creeley, and her siblings, Pete Creeley, Cathy Warner, Elizabeth Marshall, Richard Creeley, and Arnold Creeley, Jr. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is reunited with them once more.

In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Judy's love and the memories shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
