Joyce W. Smith

Joyce W. Smith passed from her earthly home into her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 16th, 2012, with her family at her side. Born September 9th, 1942 in Filmore, NY; a daughter of the late Rev. Gerald and Reba (Fuller) Wright. She graduated from Painted Post High School in 1960 and on July 15th, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Claude Smith. In addition to Claude, Joyce is survived by her beloved sons and daughters-in-law: Craig and Dianne Smith, Eric and Theresa Smith, Troy and Kellie Smith; her cherished grandchildren: Emma, Hayden, Samantha, Marlee, Chelsea, Brittany, Craig, Ian and Abigail; her brother and sister-in-law: Rev. Gerald and Janice Wright, Jr., sisters and brother-in-law: Carolee Buck, Martha and Michael Garner and several loved nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered for the way she lived...faithful and forgiving. Most of all she will be remembered as a wonderful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Joyce's family will receive friends and share memories at the Union Center Christian Church on Wednesday, May 2nd from 5-7 pm and on Thursday, May 3rd from 10-11 am. A celebration of her life will follow at 11am with Pastor Howard Lucy officiating. Memorials may kindly be directed to Union Center Christian Church.
