Joyce A. Hubbs

Joyce A. Hubbs, 78, of South Main St, passed away peacefully with her family at her side Friday morning, May 25, 2012. Joyce is survived by her daughters: Renee Hubbs; Susan (David) Benjamin; son Steven Hubbs; brother Erwin Munch; sister LaVerne Woodard; sister-in-law: Ruth Munch; grandchildren: Mario, Ariana, Aaron, David and Stephanie. A great grandson Everett; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick M. Hubbs on September 5, 2007; sisters: Gertrude (Bob) Zimmer; Eleanor (Phil) Shew; brother Francis Bud Munch.Joyce was born on November 19, 1933 a daughter of the late Peter A. and Grace A. Munch. She was a graduate of Newark Valley High School. On September 5, 1953 she married Frederick M. Hubbs and together they celebrated fifty-four years of marriage. Devoted to her family, Joyce treasured the time spent with them and enjoyed cooking for them. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Abiding with her wishes, there will be no services.
