Benjamin, 31, of Berkshire, also known to many as the cystic fibrosis Warrior, lost his battle ON Nov.3,2015 BUT NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT! He has moved on to a new life free of struggle. This man of courage and determination, so full of life and ready with a joke or prank at any time will be so greatly missed by his best friend, soul mate, care-giver and wife of 9 years, Shannon (Armstrong) Benjamin, and children, Zander Benjamin and Iris Lynch. He will also be very much missed by his devoted parents, Becky (Talton) and Harold L. Benjamin, Jr., his siblings Harold (Kristin) Benjamin, III, Phillip, Adrian, and Gabrial Benjamin, Crystaline Benjamin and fianc Joshua Skellett, Heather Benjamin and fianc Garrett Ayers and Rebekah Benjamin; his grandparents Zoral Adrian Breeden, Gilmore Douglas and Virginia Dean, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, mother-in-law, Sharon Armstrong Pohl and many friends especially his Jewish Parents Natan and Nancy Huffman. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Virginia Breeden.Josh attended Newark Valley High School where he ran cross country and graduated from Ithaca High School. He was pursuing a career in nursing at TC3 and was close to completing the course when his illness progressed beyond his control. Josh was an avid coin collector and very knowledgeable in the trade. Joshs family will receive their friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home on SUNDAY, NOV. 15, from 12 noon until 3 PM, followed by a Celebration of His Life at the Berkshire Fire Station.
