Josephine Steenrod

Josephine SteenrodMarathon, NYJosephine Steenrod, 76, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 18, 2007. Born on April 8, 1931 in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Elizabeth (Sigmier) Kreischer. She was predeceased by her husband Albert in 2000. She is survived by her children; Fred Rok (Christine) Steenrod, Lloyd (Sherry Hamilton) Steenrod, Anton M. Steenrod and Rosanna E. Thomas; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Josephine was an employee of Endicott-Johnson, loved music and was an avid Elvis fan, enjoyed crocheting, knitting, traveling, collecting dolls and going to yard sales. She especially enjoyed her friends at the Marathon Senior Center. Josephine was a down to earth, loving and caring person who cherished her family and friends. A celebration of Josephines life will be held on Saturday, December 22 at 2 PM at her home, 1557 Turner Hill Rd. Marathon, NY. The Cooley family of MacPherson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
