Joseph Fay Bevis

Joseph Fay Bevis, 57, passed away at his home Friday evening, Nov. 4, 2011 following a period of declining health due to pulmonary hypertension.Joe is survived by his wife, Alice (Martin) Tizzy Jordan, at home, his mother Charlotte Bevis, his sisters, Jody (Dave) Seaver and Julie (Dan) Dean, his step sons, Richard Keith Jordan and Jeffery J. Jordan, 5 step grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Joe was born on July 30, 1954 in Ithaca as son of Charlotte (Jordan) and the late Ernest Bevis. He was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, an avid deer hunter, NASCAR fan and a talented carpenter. Several area homes exemplify his craftsmanship. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 am at Speedsville Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Speedsville Fire Dept., Speedsville Community Hall Assoc. or St. Johns Episcopal Church in loving memory of Joseph F.
