John W Westerman, Jr

Shortly after his 83rd birthday, God called John home to heaven on May 9th, 2022. Born on May 4, 1939 he was the son of the late John W., Sr. and Charlotte (VanEtten) Westerman. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, his 3 children, Deb, Dave and Cathy, brother Gary, Jan's 2 sons, Blair and Aaron, and numerous other family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Sandra. John was a long-time member of the Union Center Christian Church in Endicott where he treasured the friendships and fellowship they all shared. John enjoyed many years of good health following an early retirement from IBM, Endicott. He enjoyed fishing, hunting with his bird dogs, gardening, raising his chickens and working for and with his son David at D&M Machine Tool in Newark Valley. His family will miss him greatly but look forward to their heavenly reunion with him and Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, Thursday, May 12 from 5-7pm. A funeral service will be held there on Friday at 10am.
