John G. Mietsch

John Mietsch, 71, passed on Sunday, August 21, 2022 following a period of declining health. John was a resident of Richford and former resident of Endicott and Horseheads, NY. He was predeceased by his parents Otto and Esther (Bradt) Mietsch and is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carol (Hart) Mietsch and his brother James Mietsch and sisters-in-law: Elaine Pottenger, Marleen Hart-Saxton and Virginia Flynn; several nieces and nephews. John was employed as a maintenance mechanic at Endicott Forging, Hadco in Owego and Pall Trinity Micro in Cortland. He was also an excellent Truck Mechanic and enjoyed tinkering in his shop. At his request a private memorial will be held at a later date. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting the family.
