Jody Lynn Keener

Our hearts were broken on Thursday, February 4, 2021, with the sudden passing of Jody Lynn Keener, 47, of Berkshire, New York. Jody was born on April 15, 1973 in Waverly, NY, the daughter of the late John Hoffmier and Norma Rupert. In addition to her parents, Jody was predeceased by her baby brother Johnny Hoffmier. Jody will be dearly missed by her husband, Ted; her children: Niki, David, Dustyn, Kirstin, Cole, Tyler, and Mattaya "Pete"; her adopted children: Ben, Katie, and Emily; her 13 grandchildren; her brother Jacob Hoffmier; her stepmother, Lillian Hoffmier, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jody just recently opened her own business, Swept Away, a detailer service in which she provided cleaning and basic maintenance for vehicles. Jodys true calling, though, was her family. She poured many hours into caring for her large family, and cherished every minute of it. Jody leaves behind a large space, but one filled with memories of her smile, her laughter, and her love. Jody had many hobbies, including dirt track racing and snowmobiling. She had an affinity for nature and enjoyed any outdoor activity. On the flipside, Jody was a fashionista at heart and couldnt wait to go shopping or change her hairstyle! She also held a special fondness for her canine friends. Friends and family are invited to the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, for a period of visitation on Sunday, February 7th from 2 5 pm.
