Jodie E. Mead, 50, of Richford, NY, passed away on Jan 13, 2023 following an illness. Jodie is survived by her loving husband, Stephan M Mead, her daughters: Montana Mead, Teresa Kurtz and Desirae Quick. Also surviving are her aunt, Margo Turner, father Darryl Alexander, brother Tommy Alexander and cousin Frank (Karen) Krisko. She was predeceased by her step-daughter Jacqueline A. Mead. Jodie received her Associate Degree in Accounting from Tompkins Cortland Community College. She was employed as an administrative assistant at Industrial Paint Services in Owego. She enjoyed crafting, camping and spending time with her family and fur-babies. Jodie was a two-time ovarian cancer survivor, and in spite of her determination and courage, she lost her very short battle with pancreatic cancer. Rest in peace Jodie. We all love you! Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life at 4 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the First Congregational Church of Berkshire, 12445 State Rt. 38. For those attending the service, please wear Purple. Pastor Paul Kunik will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3:30 pm until the time of the service. A meal and time of sharing will follow the service. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley is assisting the family.
