Jewell S Parchinski

Jewell S. Parchinski, 93, of Vestal, passed away on April 13, 2022. She is pre-deceased by her parents; her husbands, George Mead and Charles Parchinski; siblings Judson Spencer, Jeannette Baldwin, and June Blackie, and recently by her only grandson Matt Wanck, who was very special to her. She is survived by her daughter Mary Lou (Walt) Alger, sister Joanne Isaac: her grandchildren: Brie (Shana) Mendozza, Tara Mendozza, Kyla Mendozza, Zach (Stephanie) Mendozza, Ben Mendozza; her great-grandchildren, Iris Elizabeth, Morgan Jewell, Owen Charles, Leo, Adele, Ottie, Olivia, Sylvie and Logan, her step-son Charles (Topper) Parchinski and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jewell was a long-time employee of IBM. She loved to cook, bake, and share those skills with her great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, making cable knit afghans', tending her flower gardens playing tennis (which she did into her eighties) and polka dancing. Another love of hers was traveling throughout the country. MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, is assisting the family. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
