Jeffrey D. Blackman

Jeffrey D. Blackman, 68, of Newark Valley, passed away unexpectedly on January 26, 2019. He is survived by his mother Doris Blackman; sister Dona (George) Edson; nieces Kellie (Joe) Mooney and Jackie (Scott) Wandell; great nieces and nephews Jake, Allie, and Finn; and special friends Leanne and Dana Branning. Jeff was predeceased by his father Donald, and grandparents May and Leslie Lisk and Anna and Robert Blackman. Jeff loved country music, so much so that he could name almost any song or artist. He enjoyed watching the history channel and Jeopardy, and had fun answering along with the contestants. Jeff's memory was excellent- he was the best trivia partner to have! One of his favorite things to do was ride his John Deere tractor around his backyard. He had a soft spot for cats, and adored his two feline companions, Nellie and Bonnie. Jeff could brighten anyone's day with his wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
