Jane Rita Cook, 86, of Richford went home to be with her Lord on Friday morning, April 22, 2022. Jane is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James and Debbie Cook; her daughter Loretta Husner; loving sisters ~ Betty Beudoin, Cecelia Johnson and Louise Brewer. Beloved nanny to Jackie (Dennis) Wright, Ronald (Nicole) Husner, Jr.; Thomas Husner; Jack Cook (Brendan Purdy); James (Lonnie) Cook; her great grandchildren: Darrah and Joslyn Wright, Kelsey and Myla Husner and Ethan Cook. Several nieces, nephews and their families survive. Jane was welcomed into heaven by her parents, James and Helen Conklin; her loving husband Norval Jack Cook, her son-in-law Ronald Husner, Sr. and sister Mary DeSantis. Jane was born on November 25, 1935 in Johnson City, New York a daughter of the late James W. and Helen M. (Byron) Conklin. She was a graduate of Vestal High School class of 1953. On June 11, 1953 she married the love of her life Norval Jack Cook, together they shared 35 years of marriage until his passing on May 17, 1988. Jane was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished the time spent with family. Jane always looked forward to family vacations and loved to gather around the table where she shared her love of cooking. She treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren and also found comfort in birdwatching. Until we meet again Mom, may you find comfort in the arms of the angels. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday, April 28th at 11 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 51 Keibel Road, Whitney Point, New York. Jane will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Flowers will be provided by the family and they request that memorial contributions be directed to helping your local food pantry.
