James "Moose" Ward

of Newark Valley

Jim I. Ward, affectionately called "Moose" for many, many years passed away on May 18, 2023, following an illness.  He was 72 years old.

Jim was born in Waverly, NY a son of the late Irvin and Mary (Cameron) Ward.

He is survived by his brother and best friend, John  Ward and the entire Dale and Kathy Wright Family; who were not only next-door neighbors for many years but loyal friends considered family by all.  Jim is also survived by several cousins.

Jim was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the US Army, a 38 year employee of Borg Warner in Ithaca.  Jim was a true motorcycle enthusiast, a fishman who did not really care if he caught a fish or not... just thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors in a boat on the river with friends.  He also enjoyed watching NASCAR.

A graveside service with Military Honors accorded will be held at the Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley on Friday, May 26th at 1 pm.  Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting his guestbook at www.macphersonfh.com
