James Lide

James Lide, 71, of Owego, NY, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on July 5, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, and her family; his sons Christopher Hall and Derek Lide, his daughter Theresa Lide; his sisters Josephine, Mary Jo, Majette, Mamilee and Bessie; and several nephews, nieces and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Denise Lide.James was known for his big smile, quick wit, and ability to befriend anyone. He enjoyed riding his bike, fishing (and eating fried fish and rice), golfing, playing chess, listening to music- especially Al Green, and visiting with friends and family. A family get together to honor his life will be held later this month at the Hickories Park in Owego.
