Early in the morning, on May 12, 2015, our beloved father James G. Doyle, 83, passed away at his home, surrounded in the love of his devoted children: Kathleen (James) Carey, Christine (Anthony) DeCarolis, James P. (Kathleen) Doyle, Thomas L. (Judy) Doyle and Matthew Doyle. He was joyfully met in heaven by his wife Martha and daughter Colleen. Jim is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Heather, Sonia, Danielle, Courtney, Tommie and John; great grandchildren: Aiden, Quinn, Emma, Hannah and George; his brother, Thomas M. Doyle, his mother-in-law, Marie Stetson, several nieces and nephews and his always by his side dog Ginger May.Jim was born in Endicott on April 26, 1932 a son of the late Thomas A. and Ethel M. Doyle. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict; was a retired 35 year employee of IBM Endicott and a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Newark Valley. He enjoyed both hunting and fishing but his most treasured moments were those times spent with family and friends at the Cottage at Bradley Brooke Lake in Madison County.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church, Rock St. with his dear friend, Fr. Paul V. Carey officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Friends wishing to honor Jim with a donation are asked to kindly consider a donation to the American Cancer Society, Lourdes Hospice or a Charity of Choice.
