James D. Keith

James D. Keith, age 62, of Florida and formerly of Dryden, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Florida following a period of declining health. Jim was born on May 9, 1948 in Endicott, NY a son ofDonald and Phoebe (Buck) Keith. In addition to his parents of Florida he is survived by his sons, Brian Keith, Scott (Tammy) Keith; his daughter, Jamie Keith and his very special granddaughter, Jessa; his brother, Jack ( Barbara) Keith and sister, Janice (David) Russell. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.Jim was a graduate of Dryden High School, Class of 1967. He was a devoted Elvis fan, enjoyed sports, especially wrestling, baseball, football. He also enjoyed drag racing his purple GTO in his earlier years. Jim was an accomplished carpenter working locally as well as in Florida.His family will receive friends at MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley, NY on Thursday, August 26th from 12 noon - 2 PM. A Funeral service and celebration of Jim's life will follow there at 2 p.m. Reverend Archie Smith, Pastor of Lapeer Christian Church, will officiate.
