Jack H. Bartlett

John H. 'Jack' Bartlettof Owego,passed away very peacefully in Florida on Dec. 18, 2009. He was 81 years old.Jack is survived by his childhood sweetheart, best friend and wife of 61years, Blanche Vrooman Bartlett, his children Larry Bartlett and Linda (John) Brainard and cherished grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, Heather and Tom, and Brian and great grandchildren: Adrianna, Ashley, Anthony and Elaina, nieces and nephews, sister-in-law: Bertha Hover, brother-in-law: Ellsworth Vrooman and special friend (more like a brother) Alex, in Florida. Jack was born on July 14, 1928 in Endicott a son of the late Olfred and Grace Stoddard Bartlett. He was predeceased by his 5 brothers and one sister. Jack was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. He was an employee of IBM Owego for 30 years and was and avid baseball fan--- the Detroit Tigers being his favorite team.It was Jack's request that his friends remember his smile and the big hug he gave you the last time he saw you. So--- in keeping with his wishes, services will be private for his family at the MacPherson Funeral Home in Newark Valley.
