Ivanna Petrenko

Ivanna (Grechka) Petrenko, 96, also lovingly known as Baba, passed away on Nov. 3, 2018 to join her late husband, Wasyl, in heaven. She is survived by her son, Igor (Lidiya) Grechka, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her dear friend, Mary Buckingham. Born in Poland on Oct. 22, 1922, she arrived in the US on Jan 6, 1993. Throughout her life, Baba was a hard worker and enjoyed her garden and flowers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Monday at St. John the Evangelist Church in Newark Valley. Burial will follow in Maine Cemetery. Ivannas family is most grateful to the 5th floor staff at Bridgewater for the care extended to her the past 2 years.
