Ida J Alexander

Ida J. Alexander, 65, of Utah and formerly of Newark Valley, passed away on May 3, 2016 following a sudden illness.Ida is survived by her children, Clifford (Frances) Alexander and Tamara (Scott Bryant) Walker; her grandchildren: Amanda (Dave) Chaffee, Dennis Whitmarsh, Jr., Jacqueline Whitmarsh, Samantha (Kenneth) Card, Stephanie Alexander and fianc Rodney Gee, Deidra Walker and 5 great grandchildren.Also surviving are her siblings: Shirley (Gary) Williams, Barbara Golden, Nancy (Fred) Buchler, Sandra (Jim) Sharnikow, Gary (Sandra) Alexander, Robert Alexander and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Ida was a 1973 graduate of Newark Valley High School and served in the US Army during the VietnamWar. She was a former employee of Endicott Johnson, Chesebro Whitman Mfg. Co and a long time employee of Wal Mart in Vestal and Salt Lake City. Ida was also a former member of the Newark Valley Fire Dept. and Emergency Squad.Her Family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-7 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, in Newark Valley.
