Howard W. Lindsey

Howard W. Lindsey, 84, of Newark Valley, NY passed away at home on February 20, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 30, 1926 in Binghamton, NY a son of the late Howard J. and Ethel (Doremus) Lindsey. Howard is survived by his beloved children: Bruce Lindsey, Donna (Dennis) Rhodes; his grandchildren: Brian (Christine) Rhodes, Jason (Shannon) Rhodes, Chad Rhodes; his great grandchildren: Logan, Ryan, Emilee, Peyton; his sister: Marjorie Walker; his very good friend: William Daniels. Several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive. Howard married Claudia Allen on April 21, 1950. She predeceased him on May 7, 2008. Howard was a draftsman with IBM retiring after more than 25 years. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club with IBM. Howard loved soap operas, doing the daily crossword puzzle, farming and animals. Howard proudly served his country during WWII, in the United States Army.
