Howard Leroy Brame

Howard LeRoy Brame, 68, of Berkshire, passed away on Wednesday evening, February 26, 2014 following a period of declining health. Howard was predeceased by his wife Brigitte, his nephew Jeff and is survived by his son Patrick; siblings Kenneth Luther Brame, Robert Lester Brame, Roger (Rose) Brame, David (Sharon) Brame; Patricia (Richard Gumble) Ellis; his companion Joan Mettler; nieces and nephews: Randy Raupers, Thomas Raupers, Karen Brame, Tammy Bean, Amie Wales, Steven Brame, Jennifer Brame, Kyle Brame and their families along with several cousins also survive.Howard was born on July 23, 1945, in Richford a son of the late Clair and Alice (Pierce) Brame. He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country from 1967-1970. Howard was a long time employee of Ithaca Gun. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and Jeff Gordon fan. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, March 1st from 2-4 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley. Funeral services and a celebration of Howards life will follow at 4pm with Pastor James T. Willard, officiating. Interment will be in the spring in the Evergreen Cemetery, Berkshire.
