Henry J. Menard

Henry J. Menard, 77, of Johnson City, NY, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife Marie; his children Denise (Stefan) Moyer, Terri (Scott) Anderson, and John Menard; grandchildren Cameron, Drew, Kristi, Savannah, Brooke, Mindy, Austin, and Wesley; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Edith Menard; his brothers Victor Menard, Jr., Raymond Menard, and Andrew Menard; and his sisters Theresa Nestoryak and Shirley Stoddard.Henry loved spending time outdoors, and especially enjoyed mowing the lawn. In his free time, he could be found tinkering on cars, woodworking, riding his tractor, and working on countless other projects. The only thing that made these pastimes better was having his grandchildren working along side of him. A couple of his favorite ways to appreciate nature were camping and biking. Henry treasured his family, and always enjoyed a visit with his brothers. Everyone who knew Henry could attest to his knack for telling stories. His kindness and genuine care for others was easy to see, and he will be greatly missed.A celebration of Henry's life will be held at the Nanticoke Baptist Church, 21 Church St. Lisle, NY, on Saturday, Feb. 15th at 1 o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier or Nanticoke Baptist Church in loving memory of Henry.
