Harry E. Urban

Harry E. Urban, 87, of Campville, NY, passed away on Maryc 23, 2013 at the NYS Home for Veterans in Oxford following a brief illness.Harry was born on Sept. 14, 1925 in Swoyersville, PA a son of William J. and Josephine Urban. He was also predeceased by his son William Urban.Harry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Urban; his son,Frederick (Margaret) Urban, daughter, Christine Urban and grandchildren: Christopher, Anthony, Nicole, David and Matthew Urban. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Harry was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WW II. He was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and did post graduate work at Binghamton University. He retired from IBM Owego following 32 years of service. An avid and accomplished hiker covered many trails throughout North America, So America and Europe though his favorite spots were in the Adirondack Mountains.In abiding with his wishes there will be no services held. Those who wish may kindly remember the NYS Home for Veterans, 4207 State Highway 220,Oxford, NY 13830 in memory of Harry E. Urban.
