Guy M. Babcock

Guy M. Babcock, 48, of Owego, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Nov. 2, 2010. Guy is survived by his loving wife, Diane Miller, his daughter Alana P. Babcock, his stepson, Nate Miller, his devoted mother, Joan Babcock and his sisters, Debra (George) Damasevitz, Moya K. Mariani, and Sophia (David) Kenyon. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Earl Babcock. Guy was a graduate of Vestal High School and Broome Community College. He was an employee of NYS DOT in Owego. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing and when the open road beckoned to him, he explored it with gusto on his motorcycle. With a heart larger than his stature, Guy never hesitated to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Guy Babcock will be held at 4 PM on Monday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Owego with Fr. Geoffrey Doolittle officiating.
