With deep sorrow and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Glenn Alvin Shoffler on January 3 at the age of 85. He passed peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side and went home to be with the Lord.
Born in Pennsylvania, Glenn lived a life defined by service, leadership, and love. He proudly served in the military in Army intelligence, after which he taught history, sharing knowledge, perspective, and a deep appreciation for learning. Later, he went on to develop a worldwide business, as well as several successful entrepreneurial endeavors dedicated to helping others, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service and integrity.
Glenn was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Pamela, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and steadfast love. He was a loving father, proud grandfather, cherished great‑grandfather, and a respected leader whose life reflected kindness, humility, and strength.
Through his vision and dedication, Glenn’s work impacted lives across the globe. Despite his success, he remained grounded and focused on people rather than recognition. He was admired for his generosity, fairness, and his ability to lead with compassion and purpose.
Glenn was well known for his sense of humor, bringing joy and laughter into everyday moments. His servant’s heart and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He found special joy in being a grandfather, delighting in time spent with his grandchildren and the memories they shared.
His faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. He lived out his faith through service, love, and quiet strength. His family finds comfort in the promise of Scripture: “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).
Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Pamela; his children, Julie and her husband John, and Kristi and her husband Elliott; his grandchildren, Jacob and his wife Abigail, Jenna, Jonathan, Joshua, Joseph, and Elle; and his great‑grandchildren, Griffin and Graham.
While he will be deeply missed, we rejoice knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
A private celebration of life will be held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery on January 17. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Glenn’s memory to either Hope Hospice in N Ft Myers, FL or The Tunnel to Towers Foundation. A live stream will be available for close family and friends wishing to attend remotely. Please reach out to the family for details.
