Gerald H. Moulton

Gerald H. Moulton, 92, of Newark Valley, passed away on September 6, 2021. He is survived by his children Dale (Donna) Moulton, Larry (Karen) Moulton, Nancy Smith, Sharon (James) Reath, Michael (Rhonda) Moulton, Steven (Sara) Moulton; brother Richard (Debbie) Moulton; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his loving wife Edna; brothers Bert Moulton Jr., Sterling Moulton, and Robert Moulton; and grandson Joshua Moulton.Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his time in the service, he enjoyed a long career at Binghamton Industrial Supply, where he was employed for over 50 years. Gerald's hobby was raising many different breeds of show rabbits. He was a member of the Broome County Rabbit Breeders Club since 1966, and participated in many nationwide shows. Through this favorite pastime, Gerald made many lasting memories and wonderful friends. Another passion of his was baseball. He donated much of his time over the years to coaching Little League in Vestal and Little League and Teener League in Newark Valley. Gerald was a member of the Maine American Legion and VFW Post 1371, and served as the Town Supervisor of Newark Valley for two years. He spent the past five years at Good Shepherd Fairview and enjoyed his time there.Friends and family are invited to a period of visitation at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley, on Sunday, September 19th from 1-2 p.m., at which time a celebration of Gerald's life will be held. Friends and family will be required to wear protective masks. Burial will follow in Maine Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.
