Gary L. Miller, Age 68, of Richford, NY passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2024. Gary was born in Warren County, Virginia on July 13, 1955. Gary was a generous, loving, and kind man who was always willing to help anyone whether it was taking them to a doctor’s appointment, fixing something around their house or anything in between. Anyone who knew Gary will tell you that he had a sense of humor and playful sarcasm that made people laugh or put a smile on their face. Gary loved doing the storage unit auctions, yard sales, auctions, flea markets, etc. with the love of his life, Debbie. He especially loved the many family vacations and friends’ trips that they took together over the years.
Gary retired from Therm, Inc. on July 19, 2019, after 39 years of service and where he met many friends along the way. He was looking forward to when Debbie would retire so that they could enjoy many travels, adventures and create more lasting memories and stories.
His family and friends meant the world to Gary. Gary is survived by the love of his life, his soul mate, and his best friend, Debbie Chadwick, her children, whom he called his own, and their spouses, Ashley (Andy) Schaefer, Endwell, NY and Devon (Victoria) Crispell, Clermont FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Hayley Schaefer, Ryleigh Schaefer, and soon-to-be baby Crispell whom he looked forward to introducing himself to as “Papa G” as he was affectionately known by his grandchildren. Gary is survived by his dearest and closest friend, John Jerome, who meant a great deal to him, as well as close friends, Sharron Tuttle, Valerie Daugherty, Chris & Kim Smalt, all of whom he shared many memories and great stories with from our many cruises, trips, parties, and other outings or “shenanigans”. Gary had an avid love for his “four-legged fur babies” and was devastated having lost their Pug dog, Louise, just two days prior to his passing. He leaves behind his furry “sidekick” Bentley.
At Gary’s request, there will be no services. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date, the family is in the caring assistance of MacPherson Funeral Home Newark Valley, New York. Memories and condolences can be shared in his guestbook at www.macphersonfh.com
Gary, my love, you have left us way too soon. You have left a huge void in the hearts of the many who loved you so much. Until we are together again, know that I love you and I am going to miss you greatly. My world will never be the same without you. Thank you for the memories which I will cherish forever.
