Fredrick J. Guiles

Fredrick J. Guiles, 52, formerly of Maine, NY, passed unexpectedly in his sleep, on Sept. 29, 2012. Fred is survived by his daughter Terri Ann (David Matias, Jr.) Guiles, his grandchildren, Dominic, Mariah, Daniel and David, his companion, Carol Lane and her children, Brandon, Brittany and Eric, his brother Robert (Lynne) Guiles and sister, Betty Jo (Ken) Ackley, 6 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and Terri Anns mother, Brenda Snavely. He will also be missed by his canine companion, Maggie.Fred was born in Endicott on Nov. 16, 1959. He was predeceased by his parents Donald R. and Delores J. (Hutcheson) Guiles, and his brother Douglas W. Guiles.He was a graduate of Maine-Endwell High School, an employee of BAE, Endicott and a member of Sons of The American Legion, Squad 1700, W. Endicott. He was a loving father and grandfather, an excellent mechanic, a great neighbor, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.Family and friends are invited to attend a time of sharing memories on Wednesday, from 12 noon until 2 pm at the MacPherson Funeral Home, 5 Whig St., Newark Valley. A Memorial Service will follow there at 2 PM with Cindy Barrett, friend of the family, officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Maine Cemetery.
